Dust Containment-This includes plastic being put up across all entrance ways to the rooms being worked on to prevent the spread of dust. Masking tape is used to secure the plastic due to it's ability not to pull the paint or wallpaper from the walls and eliminates all unnecessary nail holes. Sanding & Refinish-Sanding includes the actual work that is done to remove all previous coating on the floor. Sanding is usually only done on the first day depending on the size of the job and the condition of the wood. Refinishing the floor includes coating it with the polyurethane, which includes three different coats for long lasting protection. Screen & Coat-This service is for floors that are worn and faded over time. Screening the floor removes the upper layers of the previous coats that are worn, then the floor is coated with polyurethane.
3 Coats of Polyurethane-Three seperate coats of polyurethane is put on each foor, unless otherwise stated by the owner. The owner can select from satin, gloss, or semi-gloss finish. Satin being by far the most popular due it's ability to "hide" scratches and maintain a natural, beautiful look over an extended period of time. Installation of New Floor-Robinson Hardwood Floors installs new floor with modern state-of-the-art equipment for the best looking floors possible with the most efficient means. The owner may select the type of wood to have installed, though, most commonly used is 3/4 inch natural oak.
