Skill Growth

This is my way to show that I am continuously learning and expanding my skills. Although I am a Software Programmer for an insurance company I am always reading, developing, or trying to find ways to improve my skills. What can I say? I have a passion for programming, and technology in general... as well as history, but that's another topic...

Anyway, I have listed some programming / technical skills below in which I have particular interest in. These are a few that I find very powerful and useful, and technologies I am finding ways to understand. Though my heart is with programming I feel these all relate and benefit one another. But the bottom line is that they all relate to programming, so that's what sparks my interest. And just so you know right now .NET, in particular C# and VC++, is my focus.

I know it seems unreasonable to develop the variety of skills, but hey, one must follow his passions. Through acadamia and beyound I have complimented my M.I.S. degree with Object-Oriented Programming and Web Programming to broaden my skills and to more fully understand what is involved with hi-tech communication.

I look to incorporate these skills together (not all ofcourse) and apply them to particular solutions... or start my own ISP. I feel my exposure to the broad range of technologies will help overcome learning curves and increase my flexibility to achieve what is needed in any organization. Yet, with so many emerging technologies out there it's difficult to focus on any one in particular without some sort of necessity... So I soak up what I can pursuing my interests.
