Tom Robinson began his business after working for his former boss, Harold Derycke, for sixteen years. He started Robinson Hardwood Floors in 1997 building his crews with his personal experience. He has been in the floor business for over twenty years and has done hardwood floors throughout central new york and beyond. He has experienced the small single family rooms to large office suites to large open areas such as stores. He has worked with old Colonial floors dating back to the early 1800's to modern state of the art floors. Some of his work experience includes such projects as downtown Syracuse office buildings, University buildings, churches, funeral homes, stores of different varieties, and even outside weather-worn decks. His jobs are highly recommended and his work is employed by several contractors when hardwood floors are requested. His work has brought his services to places as far away as Old Forge, Binghamton, Seneca Falls, and as far north as Potsdam, even though no real advertising is done. He feels word-of-mouth is the best advertisement that reflects customer satisfaction.
Tom has built his business using modern state-of-the-art floor laying tools for the most efficient services, and in turn the best looking floors possible. He runs two crews which he entrusts with his business feeling confident in each ones integrity and professionalism. Each crew member can run any aspect of the business, creating overall responsibility and dedication for each job Robinson Hardwood Floors undertakes. He guarantees his work with oil-based polyurethane for a long lasting, durable floor that will look great for years. Tom oversees all aspects of each job that is done and is dedicated to customer service and satisfaction.
